Spacious room that was immaculately clean with a varied choice of refreshments, including homemade rocky road, delicious! Excellent! A real Home From Home
This is the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in (and we have stayed in quite a few ) and value is second to none.On arrival we were met at the door by the lovely owner Debbie who showed us around the dining room and lounge areas before taking us upstairs to our room which, surprisingly, we had been upgraded to a larger room free of charge (we had tried to book this but for some reason we had a problem trying to do this as it was showing booked - note to self book direct with Debbie next time)Once in the room Debbie pointed out where everything was and explained about Breakfast, Debbie then asked if we would like a drink (even though we had more than enough in our room to make our own) Debbie made us a lovely cup of tea and biscuits.The rooms including the communal areas are all beautifully decorated and clean.The room had all you could need, teas, coffee's, Horlicks and a Nespresso Machine and pod's, a silent fridge with fresh milk in its own little glass bottle and 2 large glass containers with water, which Debbie would have refilled if we had required it.On the bedside table, there was homemade rocky road and fudge and a dish with boiled sweets along with an Alexa2 Chairs, TV, Iron and Ironing Board, hairdryer and lovely toiletries in the bathroom as well as antibacterial hand wash, lovely towels and even 2 face cloths.We had a lovely nights sleep in the hugely comfortable bed, and shower was excellent.The Breakfast was very tasty and very hot, with lots of choice if you do not want the full English, (Mega Croissants)A massive thankyou to Debbie who could not do enough for us, it was very wet when we set off out for our evening meal but we had an umbrella so decided to walk, big mistake as we had not got far when a very nice car driver decided to go full speed through a puddle and completely cover us, needless to say we had to turn round and go back to get changed.Again Debbie was on hand to save the day and she offered to dry our clothes andbooked us a taxis to take us to the place that (yes, you have got it Debbie had booked a table for us)We were also allowed to leave our car for a couple of hours when we checked out so we did not have to pay for parking in town.Debbie and Richard are truly great hosts, and all they want you to do is enjoy yourselves, we cannot wait to go back and enjoy their lovely garden in better weather.

We can highly recommend staying at Bentley Lodge with Debbie and Rich as great hosts. Everything was spot on from the moment of arriving to leaving and the breakfast in particular was the best ever. We would definitely go back again if staying in Torquay.

I slept like on clouds, breakfast was outstanding, ham and sausage from local butcher, fruits fresh, eggs fresh.Coffee great. I was helped with any problems. Rooms clean and quiet. Debbie and Richard are so friendly,and you can tell the B&B is their heart and soul. Best place ever 😊👍🏼

Return Visit to Torquay
Excellent room, very well appointed with many little extra touches. Very friendly and hospitable hosts, helpful and courteous. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay again when in Torquay. Wonderful breakfast, great choice and served hot and fresh. Having an electric charging facility was a great bonus for us. We stayed in the ground floor bedroom which was an accessible room.

What A Fantastic Stay
Dear Debbie and Rich we stayed with you in October 2022 and we had such a great time. The rooms were modern, fresh, great and very clean bathrooms. We had little homemade chocolates on arrival and you even drove us down to the restaurants in the centre of Torquay. We loved your lovely garden. Breakfast was great. Very Nice Welcoming Stay!
As well as the lodge being superbly decorated and extremely clean, the hosts, Debbie and Richard, could not do enough for us. We felt as if we had known them for years.The room was fresh and attention had been given to every detail. The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast choice was extensive and beautifully presented. We did not feel at all rushed. The sun was shining and I made use of the recently refurbished garden to relax, enjoying some much needed down time. Debbie and Richard took time to speak with us many times using our christian names. I can’t recommend this lodge and its owners highly enough. We can’t wait to take our friends with us next time we visit.

Well Done Bentley Lodge!!
We spent 3 nights at Bentley Lodge recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Debbie and Richard were great hosts - welcoming, pleasant, friendly, easy to get on with, and knowledgeable. The guest house has been perfectly renovated recently and is light, bright and airy. The breakfast was very very good and Debbie catered perfectly to our dietary requirements. Our 2nd stay at Bentley Lodge and we will definitely be back, and would recommend it to others.

Absolutely Amazing B & B
Where do I start well one of the sorry the best B&B we have ever stayed in Debbie and Richard are the best hosts you could ask for nothing was too much trouble for them, the room was exceptionally clean and everything you needed was thought of like most of us we always forget something, like I did my shampoo but no need to worry everything you needed for a shower provided. Fresh chilled water and milk in your fridge all beverages beautifully presented, homemade fudge and sweets left in your room as well Adrian was very happy with that as he has a very sweet tooth????. The Room was lovely and clean the bed really really comfy, the breakfast was top class even if I had to have my egg murdered sorry (Richard) but you done it great. If we are in Torquay again we will definitely be back to stay with you both many thank again Adrian and Sarah

Bentley Lodge
The pictures I'd seen online didn't do this property justice. There had been a recent makeover and all throughout was recently done up including the rooms. The hosts were lovely and made us some baked goodies, keeping us topped up with filtered water and milk. Excellent value for what we paid and would gladly come again.

Amazing Hosts!
Debbie and Rich absolutely deserve all the fantastic reviews they have recieved.Debbie is amazing, she can't do enough for you! This is my second time visiting and I have a further two bookings for this year.Myself and my daughter (8) feel very at home here, it's so cosy.My mother lives near by and I have stayed in many other hotels in Torquay over the years but Bentley Lodge is far more superior than the others!Parking is not a problem here. The rooms are not only beautiful but incredibly clean.They have obviously gone for the more high end look at it's definitely paid off!The breakfast is also wonderful.The fact that they only allow older children to stay is a huge positive, there is nothing worse than children running back and forth when trying to sleep!Rich makes AMAZING fudge!!Anyone looking for a lovely bed and breakfast with the high end look - Bentley Lodge is definitely for you.

Great place to stay - a cut above the rest
The owner was super helpful before I arrived, letting me know about the kerb issue for low cars (Badly designed gutter and pavement). Once I was there, they gave me directions to places to eat based on what I liked, and to be easy walking distance. I'd got there after a long drive and didn't have the get up and go to figure out where to go. Loved the bedside treats and home made goodies. Sweets everywhere. Super soft carpets everywhere, I took my shoes off because I didn't want to bring any muck in.

Fabulous weekend break
This is a lovely B&B run by Patrick & Suzie who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your time with them. The accommodation is comfortable and spotless and well within walking distance of the seafront. The breakfast is one of the best we have had, made from locally sourced produce. All in all, a great break, we will return.

Absolutely superb
Very friendly and helpful hosts, spotlessly clean and with good covid safety. My wife is still nervous and great care was taken to make her feel safe. Breakfast was really good ( I am a good eater and was more than satified.)The room was clean enough for even my wife, a considerable complement and with tea and coffee all in all great even with the English weather.

Tidy, friendly and well located
Our room was an extremely pleasant place to stay and contained everything we could have needed, and the hosts were very friendly. There is a wide range of breakfasts available which all tasted great. Plenty of places to eat only a short walk away, and the main town center can be reached on foot in about 20-30 minutes.
First class accommodation
Had three night break at this lovely guesthouse very clean and comfortable, we had a ground floor well furnished and equipped room, efficient shower, comfortable king bed, tea coffee etc everything we needed.Very good choice of breakfast, the cooked was great, Suzie and Patrick were welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, we have no hesitation in recommending Bentley Lodge and hope to return.

On our arrival we were met by Susie . She immediately offered us a pot of tea in the lovely bright dining room.Patrick & Susie were such a friendly couple , and offered good advice .Where to eat and nice places to go.The Guest House was very Covid Friendly and we felt safe at all times.Our Room. 3 was lovely and bright and well equipped. Tea coffe and biscuits .The breakfast was excellent and very options.The position of the guest house was a short walk to The front and 6. Mins to Torr Station and blues were about 4 minutes walk . Going Such places as Paighton , Brixham.A lovely break for us and we will be back in 2021.

From the pre-arrival reminders and recommendations to book evening meal, being greeted with a cup of tea and cookies on arrival, our requested early departure breakfast, Susie and Patrick couldn’t have been more accommodating.Everywhere was spotlessly clean, we felt very happy to find this little gem. Susie and Patrick made recommendations on places to visit & eat and options on transportation get there. We had a lovely stay and we would be very happy to return.

Spotlessly clean and friendly atmosphere.
A small 6 bedroom Guest House approximately 1.2 to 1.5 miles from the sea front, our room was found to be spotlessly clean and not longly decorated, all the usual facilities in the room including en-suite, tea/coffee making, steam iron, tv. and Alexa.Very friendly atmosphere. We would certainly stay there again.

Lovely stay
had a great stay, everything was very organised,clean and a lot of attention to detail.The building its self is lovely, especially the garden, which was nice to site outside in the morning.the owners couldn't do enough to make us happy, with recomendations and offering/providing us with everything we needed.We enjoyed the breakfast aswell, with it being a standard breakfast affair. This would be the only improvement we could thing of. By no means was the breakfast bad, just more attention to the cooking of the items, with the eggs being over cooked for example and less crockery on the table.Overall a brilliant stay and we would recommend the accommodation to anyone in the future

Bentley Lodge was an excellent place to stay for our short break.Suzie & Patrick were very welcoming, coffee and biscuits on arrival was a lovely touch. The room was very comfortable, light and airy. Breakfast was superb with lots of choices available, you have to try Suzie's scrambled egg and salmon, what a joy.Nothing was to much trouble for them and we will definitely be returning again soon.

Nothing was too much trouble for hosts Suzie and Patrick. The Lodge is nipping clean and the breakfasts were by far the best we have experienced on our travels, with a full choice of 3 courses, including smoked salmon with eggs. Delicious! Thanks Suze and Pat for making our first visit to Torquay memorable and pleasant.

Very pleasant stay, very welcoming couple!
A very happy, handy and economical place to stay in Torquay if you don't want to pay over-the-top prices nearer the sea-front. Only a ten minute walk - or so - to the sea front, and also near - but not ON - a main road, which is handy. Room was top-notch, shower / bathroom, etc, clean and excellent, (loved the dark-brown, shiny floorboards, lol)! Breakfast - very good!Patrick and Suzie are possibly the most welcoming and friendly couple ever to run a B & B / small hotel! It also helped that Suzie and I shared a mutual love of Ancestry and Family History, so plenty to talk about! There was a slight mix-up concerning the Breakfast / breakfast table on the first morning, but this was not the fault of the hosts in any way, more down to another couple who somehow failed to recognise that their DELEGATED breakfast table was pre-decided in accordance to their room-number. Look at the numbers on the breakfast tables people!Very good all round!Thanks Patrick and Suzie!

Lovely weekend
We recently spent a relaxingweekend at Bentley Lodge. The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable.The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with plenty of selection.We would definitely recommend it.

Lovely stay
We had the most delightful few days despite the (ahem) Devon weather. Hosts could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The family room was lovely, handy to have extras like fridge. Spotlessly clean and breakfast was delicious! Would highly recommend.

Relaxing time
Our hosts were very welcoming and made sure that we had a very relaxing stay. Room was very clean and spacious however the bath room a little on thesmall side for a big guy like me !! Very pleasant touches , fans provided for room and a mini fridge in the room. Patrick and Susie gave good tips on restaurants in Torquay and definitely wise to pre book for a preferred time.Breakfast was delicious and varied.

Break away we stayed at Suzies and Patrick’s bed and breakfast on 27th of July for four nights when we arrived Susie and Patrick welcomed us into their home and was very friendly a lovely couple my sister-in-law had the family room upstairs and then my husband and I had number five downstairs which was lovely very clean breakfast amazing all I can say is that outfour days was made very pleasant by this couple And would recommend there bed and breakfast to anybody Definitely stay there again and not too far out of torquay 15 minute walk it’s a great location for getting around Devon thank you Suzy and Patrick for a lovely stay.

Wonderful stay
My wife and I stayed here in July for a few days. I would highly recommend Bentley Lodge for your stay in Torquay. Suzie and Patrick where wonderful hosts. It was very clean and friendly and adhered to all the new covid restrictions in place.Nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Room was very clean and comfortable. We look forward to visiting again.

Felt just like home
My husband and I loved stating at Bentley Lodge for our visit to Torquay. It was ideally located, close to shops, bars and cafes and a 12 - 15 min walk to the seafront, which we loved exploring. Susie and Patrick made our stay a very comfortable one, even had a cup of tea ready when we first arrived. I felt very relaxed throughout the stay and thought it was better than some of the glitzy hotels I have stayed in! On arrival warmly welcomed and complimentrytea in the beautiful garden, Suzi and Patrick are a lovely couple and their guest house reflects thisgorgeous breakfast, nothing too much trouble. They spotted a bottle of wine in our room and without having to ask 2 wine glasses appeared. It's those touches that make a perfect stay. Definitely would recommend

Very welcoming
Had a great few days at Bentley Lodge. Suzie and Patrick made us very welcome; we had a really comfortable and well-equipped room and lovely breakfasts every morning. But our hosts went that bit further to make our stay really enjoyable by providing those little extra touches that meant so much.

Bentley Lodge is situated in a good spot for visiting Torquay and exploring the surrounding areas. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated and the room was spotless and had every facility you could need. Suzie and Patrick are great hosts who offered a warm and friendly welcome. Breakfast and service was excellent.
Clean, Cozy, Relaxed
I stayed 1 night as a key worker due to work in the area, Suzy and her husband were both very welcoming and friendly. Providing essential info on the local area as required. The room was well equipped and exceptionally clean with a comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast. Wifi seemed very good and managed to stream the live football without problem.I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Enormous value for the price
We stayed in this lovely BnB for a week with my wife and we absolutely loved it!The hosts are super friendly and helpful with everything. The bedrooms are superb, clean, very well maintained. The bathrooms are great with beautiful tiling, big sink and soft rug under feet. The garden is beautifully arranged with a swing bench, lovely garden furniture and even a pond with a tiny fountain that makes a peaceful pleasant noise.The breakfasts are delicious if you can find something for yourself in the slightly limited menu and are always on an arranged time.We only wished there was a bin where we could discreetly remove our rubbish to, but that's just our own discomfort of asking the hosts to do it for us, which they always gladly did.Overall an excellent place with an excellent service delivers a ton of value for price and a pleasant stay.

Overnight stay
We would all like to thank you for a very comfortable overnight stay while we were attending a family funeral in Torquay, Bentley Lodge is spotless clean and very comfortable, everything you need at hand, breakfast was delicious and lots of tea and coffee, Patrick even come out with a spray bottle and wiped our windows clean as we were leaving as the seagulls had been busy on the cars, your hospitality was very much appreciated and we would all highly recommend Bentley Lodge, thanks again

Great accommodation, great people
Accommodation was great, clean, well kept.The owners are very kind,friendly and accommodating. Lovely people. Breakfasts was superb and on time.My only comment would be that I had some issues with the WiFi dropping in and out, and couldn’t get back on for an hour or so a couple times.Overall it was almost perfect and I would come back again.

A bit of a walk to the town center(15mins) but not an unpleasent one. I would definitely recommended and would happily stay there again'. Review from Tripadvisor.

Fantastic weekend stay
Had a voucher to use up a bit quick so understandably had a bit extra to pay for this time of year. Well worth the visit. We just wanted a weekend to chill and luckily had good weather to do just that. Also added bonus of the air show.We had a few chances to chill in the garden.All very clean and beds very comfortable with en suite. Lovely touches like the fridge in the room with water, tea coffee and biscuits facilities. On our second night an alexa appeared!My husband asked for a glass for his cider then the next day clean glasses in room for his use! Pre ordered breakfast (enjoyed my salmon and scrambled eggs 😊)Hosts Al and Annie very friendly and nothing too much trouble. On arrival Annie made us a pot of tea. Both hosts very keen and new to running the B&B but if they keep up their hospitality they will do very well.Think my husband drove them mad as a gardener so giving them lots of tips.Thanks for a lovely stay and good luck xHope to return one day 😆😆

Brilliant!
Greeted on arrival by Al and Annie and offered a hot drink. Beautifully clean and decorated, with comfortable bed and en suite. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was beautifully cooked and presented. It was, however, the extra little touches that made such a difference. Our room had two comfortable chairs, whereas a lot of B&B only have one. There was a bottle of water in the fridge, an Echo Dot, a hairdryer and even an adapter for foreign visitors to use. We had a bottle of wine and used the tooth mugs, as most people do, but the following day two wine glasses appeared in our room. As I said it was the extra little touches that elevated our experience. Highly recommended and we will certainly go back.

Great weekend stay
Al and Annie are lovely hosts and looked after us very well. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. Breakfasts were lovely and so speedily served. The hotel is just a 15 minute walk from the sea front. I would have no hesitation in coming back or recommending it to my friends

Everything you could want and more. Al and Annie were the perfect hosts. Their home is immaculate. Breakfast sets you up for the day all cooked to perfection a great find and hope to be back again .p.s the pillows were great Al !!

A Great Stay
Just got back from a great 3 day break st Bentley Lodge. Can’t fault any aspect- friendly hosts, really nice rooms- clean, airy and well maintained. Al and Annie as said, were very welcoming but very unobtrusive. Breakfast was excellent- especially the scrambled egg and smoked salmon! Well located if you don’t mind a walk- which we don’t... only a 20 min stroll into town but bus stops nearby so good for all. Plenty of parking , so all in all a terrific stay. A Couple of Days Away
Just spent a couple of nights here and it was lovely . Alan and Annie can’t do enough for their guests and as they had only just taken over this venture they did brilliantly .breakfast was lovely. Loads of choice . Ordered in advance if you could to make the mornings easier.You could also select a time when you would like your breakfast , but this wasn’t strict .beds were very comfortable and rooms had everything you needed . Plenty of plug sockets , hairdryer , toiletries , fresh towels . Fridge , water , tea and coffee and biscuits .Quite a walk into the centre but this wasn’t a problem as it was a nice pleasant walk . Passing by Torre Abbey .Recommendedhope you do well
