Bentley Lodge Covid 19 Risk Assessment

To aid in the prevention of the corona virus transmission, Bentley Loge will implement procedures outlined in this risk assessment. The following sections describe areas of concern where it has been determined to possess the greatest threat.

For the safety of staff and customers, we will adhere to strict compliance of the following guide.
By these following simple rules, we intend to stay virus free, and protect our patrons:
Notify guests of the 2m social distance policy and ask for their assistance in implementing it.
Providing hand sanitizer in all areas. 
Provide separation in dining area for guests, staggering meal time as required to maintain the 2m rule.
Changed furniture in areas of congestion to non-porous material for ease of cleaning with disinfectant.
Wash hands frequently while engaged with the public or preparation.
Use of disinfectants to keep hard surfaces, items clean.
Provide one-time use items wherever possible.

Provide notification if one is demonstrating known Covid symptoms. Loss of Smell Taste or a Temperature. Self Isolate immediately.

Reception
Social distancing will be in effect so that staff and guests contact are kept to a minimum. Guests will be informed of the 2m rule. Hand sanitizer will be provided in the reception area for use after filling out forms. Pen will be disinfected after use. Keys will be picked up off hard surface, pre sprayed will disinfectant between guests. Tea or coffee provided while in check in process will require one-time use milk, sugar packets if desired, the tray be treated with disinfectant spray before reuse.

Payments
Payment will only be made at time of booking. We have set up automation to make the process as easy as possible prior to arrival, as prepayment in full for the stay is the policy of this establishment. In the rare instance where a credit card is used on site, the machine should be wiped down with disinfectant.

Journey to Room
Notify guests to maintain courtesy distancing by waiting for other guests at stairwells or while entering rooms and dining area. Hand sanitizer will be provided at entrance in dining area. Stairwell railing will be wiped down based on guest frequency.

Baggage
To reduce risk, staff will not aid in moving baggage to and from rooms as social distancing could be compromised.

Room Servicing

Staff will be cognisant of cross-contamination when providing courtesy cleanings. This requires wiping down knobs and surfaces, and washing hands regularly to eliminate transfer between room. All items used to be left out for cleaning. Windows will be open in each room to help in air circulation during cleaning. Rubbish will be individually disposed of daily.

Linens
Linens will need to be washed in hot water, exceeding 60° C, and pressed with hot iron to ensure that all contaminants are destroyed in the cleaning process. Hands should be washed upon stripping room.

Breakfast Offerings
All breakfast meals are catered on an item per request basis. Any Cereal/ fruit /juices/coffee/tea served on a request basis and delivered expressly for that patron. All room and dining china glass and cutlery washed via machine to 60 degrees.

Breakfast Service
Tables between guest will be spaced 2m between tables. If necessary, Guest are to inform the desired time for eating. depending on fullness of the Lodge, desired schedule time may need to be staggered to maintain social distancing. Each table should be wiped down with disinfectant between groups or individuals.

We would prefer that take-outs utilize the dining area. If the area is full please use the folding tables in your room and ask us to clean and take away dishes;rather than leaving in the corridor. Dining plates and cutlery will be provided leave on table for host to clean then disenfect.. Tables will be disinfected between guests. Folding Tables available for rooms. Let your host clean after use do not put anything away as we must clean it first.

Cleaning after Suspected Contamination
If we are notified of a person with symptoms, they will not be allowed to stay, but asked to change the reservation or cancel their stay. If symptoms have not developed until already situated in a room, the following actions must take place:
Room will remain unoccupied for minimum of 3 days after their departure.
No cleaning will take place in room until the person is able to leave. All touch points will require extra attention while wearing gloves.
All meals will take place in the room. Disposable plates and cutlery will be provided so that nothing is returned to the kitchen
No one will be allowed to visit except medical personnel.
Staff will provide disinfectants to all surface and contact points before room is allowed to be reoccupied.
